What inspired Wings of the Forgotten?

Valor K. Forge I grew up loving dragon rider fantasy and stories where overlooked characters discover a strength they didn’t know they had. Kane’s story began with the idea that true strength isn’t always the loudest voice in the room. Sometimes it’s simply the person who refuses to leave.
