T.J. Robinson I'm currently reading the 7 habits of highly effective people. Wow! What a great read. Being entertained is importan, and I love writing romance because it gives me a place to let my imagination walk free, but it is equally important to better oneself as a human being. That's what I'm working on. 💕

T.J. Robinson I saw a man in a coffee shop - seriously, I'm being completely honest. He was beautiful. I mean, take a photo of him getting coffee at 7a.m. with a scarf wrapped around his handsome neck, and stick on the cover of any magazine. He had to be a model. If he wasn't, he should be. Tall, square jaw, mussed hair, perfect bone structure, beautiful. I just wanted to keep looking at him. Anyway, he left and I thought, what kind of woman would that kind of man be with? And then I thought, what if he was with someone unexpected? Then I thought about what that story would look like, and ALL I WANT was born. I loved writing it because it's just a simple love story with a happy ending. Literally, All I Want is short and sweet, but it's the perfect introduction for a couple of sequels.
T.J. Robinson I talk to my sister. She is amazing!
T.J. Robinson There's a quote that I love, by Herman Wouk. He said, "I only write when inspiration strikes. Fortunately, it strikes at nine o'clock every morning."
I love this, because it reminds me to write, no matter how inspired I do or do not feel. It's like exercise - the more you do it, the easier it becomes, and you want to do it more, miss it when you don't.
T.J. Robinson Write! It took me over a year to complete One More Last Chance, because I was working, going to school, not neglecting hubby, and it was hard. I'm not gonna lie. There were days when I felt accomplished at getting 20minutes of writing in. But I'll tell you, a little bit everyday adds up. You get in a rhythm, and if you go a day or a week without putting something on the page, that rhythm gets sluggish. So just write, and write, and write. If you love to do it, if you have a story running around in your head, then do it.
T.J. Robinson Hartstone Series, Book Two! plus a couple more that are running through my head!
T.J. Robinson The best thing about being a writer, is that I can let my imagination go where it wants to. I don't have to be realistic. I don't have to conform to social norms. I don't have to constrain myself in any way, because I'm writing a STORY. A totally made up thing in my mind that can play out however I want, or sometimes, in ways I didn't even see coming. The characters take on a life of their own and I love that.
