Take a break and either work on other aspects of the book; cover image, blurb etc. Or put it aside altogether and do something else for a while. It always comes back to you. Main rule: NEVER write to a timeline. It's sure to kill your mojo. Writing is an art form, and as with any other creative enterprise, it waxes and wanes. The trick is to ride the waves as they come, and never force it.

I got the idea for Essence Of Betrayal from hearing an interview with an actual Private Investigator on the radio while working. I started to think, "Wow. Wouldn't it be cool to run my Handyman business during the day, then be a P.I. at night." Then it occurred to me; that's a story idea!
