I first heard the term "Fairy Shaking" in 1998, when a police officer in Washington, DC was convicted for extortion (among other things). He'd look for signs of family (infant seats, soccer balls, etc) in cars parked near a gay nightspot, run the tags and then contact the owners offering not to out them for a fee. In my story, the officer follows a man who goes out for the first time cross-dressed. Rather than asks for money, he asks my protagonist to be his girlfriend.

I love to read.

A story about a self-centered jerk who runs hos own boutique real estate brokerage. Three women work for him and are belittled and abused. When they uncover evidence of illegal transactions they give him a choice, feminization so he learns what it's like to be a woman who is verbally and mentally abused, or a trip to prison. I'm having a lot of fun.

Writing is a craft like woodworking. You develop skills by doing them, finding your own "best way" to accomplish a task. The advantage you have as a writer over a woodworker is that words are free and a lot easier to cut up!

Being your own boss, getting to tell stories, getting to make things up-- all the things that the nuns would yell at me for when I was a kid.

I don't allow it to happen. Writing is work. If you wait for inspiration, you'll never make it. Start writing. The old axiom "Get it written then get it right," is no less true than it was 50 years ago. If you hit a wall get up and take a walk.
