Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jennifer Eifrig The Discovering Ren series is an urban fantasy retelling of a cohort of ancient Egyptian myths. My debut novel was about Isis; the sequel is about Osiris, and the final book will be about their son, Horus.

How do you get inspired to write?

Jennifer Eifrig First, I need to be well-rested. Writing is hard work! Then, I need absolute quiet. No one in the house. Then, I tell myself, it's time to get creative and productive.

What are you currently working on?

Jennifer Eifrig The sequel to my debut novel, Shadow King, is currently in production with my publisher. Look for a publication date announcement soon!

I'm also working on a steamy steampunk adventure romance called New Year's Day, under my alter ego Evelyn Grimwood. I'm loving this story!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jennifer Eifrig Find out what the professionals do, and then do that. Respect yourself and your writing by acting like a pro from the very beginning. Pretty soon others will treat you that way.
