Oh, do some heavy duty crunchings and munchings with Gurgi. Together we'd get to the bottom of that limitless food wallet. And maybe take a few harp lessons from a king-turned-bard. Tease Taran. Pester Doli to teach me how to become invisible. Get Eilonwy to stop talking, for pete's sake! Help Coll with the planting. Tickle Hen Wen.

Just the things everyone would want to do, I guess.

And never, ever, go to the Summer Country.

Where do all your characters come from? What brings them alive within your heart?
Kathleen Kelly Garlock I've heard it said that most characters are a reflection of different aspects of an author's personality; what we once were, what we are, and what we wish or fear to be. I don't know if that's true, but it sounds pretty good.

Individuality is what makes them live for me. The little quirks that set each one apart and make them seem 'real.' Snappy dialogue doesn't hurt either.

Kathleen Kelly Garlock I've been working on a pirate/time-shift tale for much too long.

I'd give it up, but the characters are so endearing, I can't bear to abandon them.
