Tara Quan I'm a devout Nalini Singh fangirl. I'd probably be too starstruck to form coherent sentences if I meet her, but I'd love to ask her how she came up with the idea for Psy and the PsyNet.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Tara Quan Once upon a time, I answered a submissions call from Decadent Publishing and was assigned Grimm's "The Owl." It was a two paragraph story about an owl that flew into a barn, scared some farmers, who all banned together to burn the structure down. Somehow, the barn turned into a bank of NSA servers, which was (legally) hacked by my geeky hero. After being accused of espionage, Zack tracks down his nerdy bespectacled best friend from college who is now a forensic accountant at the Treasury Department. Much hilarity and naughtiness ensues as Maya helps him clear his name. Operation Owl, my sexy multicultural romantic comedy, releases July 15th, 2014.
