"Strike when the iron is hot." It honestly depends on the type of writing. Coming from an artistic point of view, the inspiration can come from anywhere: a movie, a song, dialogue, a photograph etc. I'm a nerd with a boundless imagination, so ideas run rampantly in my mind.

Just do it. If you need experience, start off as a volunteer writer for a non-profit and move up to contributing to blogs and online magazines. Get your feet wet by learning from other writers and particularly editors.

I have to say it's research. I'm a huge nerd and I love learning new things, especially ancient references like the Sword of Damacles or the Gordian Knot.

It's key to stop thinking about what I'm trying to write, so I either go outside, listen to comedy, or find a book of writing prompts. Most importantly, I have to change my physical or mental state into something creative and filled with good energy. Try it!

Love. At the time, there were three women in my life. To me, they were queens because they influenced my ability to live and love. I was the King of Hearts who had found and lost the queen of each suit but his own. I thought that maybe someone, somewhere could benefit from what I had to say.
