I like to create characters and then get to know them. It's a form of therapy for me. It's a much healthier outlet than a bucket of rocky road ice cream - although not quite as much fun.

When I'm stumped with where to go next, I like to hash out some scenarios with someone I trust (who is also a good listener). Verbalizing ideas helps me visualize scenes which then translates into words on a page.
