How do you do outline?

Tiffany Daune Over the years I've developed my own system for outlining but I always start with the framework found in Blake Snyder's SAVE THE CAT. His method is a great place to start if you're new to outlining!

Hello! I'm reading coral and bone at the moment and I'm loving it so far! Just one question: is this series a duology? or is it unfinished...(yet)?

Tiffany Daune Hi! I'm so thrilled you're enjoying the story! Coral and Bone is book one of a trilogy (The Siren Chronicles). Curses and Ash, book two will be out this December and book three is scheduled for release early 2018. :)

Is Curses and Ash still available for sale somewhere or will it be available for sale again on Amazon soon? I have a copy of Coral and Bone and would really like a copy of the second book but I can't find one anywhere and I'm scared I missed my chance.

Tiffany Daune Yes, it's coming back soon! Curses and Ash is scheduled for release January 2018, followed by the third book, Smoke and Ruin, in February with Oftomes Publishing. Thanks so much for reading!

I was just reading this on Wattpad. Between Chapter 1 Part 2 and Chapter 1 Part 3, there seems to be something missing. I'm really confused about who Ezra is, because it suddenly jumped to the scene with them running away from the scene of her wanting to go for a run. What is with that?

Tiffany Daune There must have been some sort of glitch. I checked all three parts of Chapter One and there doesn't seem to be a problem on my side. Part two introduces Ezra. The scene starts with the knock at the door ending with Tage dropping the bowl of strawberries and telling Halen to "run". Part three opens with Halen running for the door. Is coral & bone the first in a series or a standalone novel?

Tiffany Daune Coral & Bone is the first book in the series. I hadn't planned on writing a series, but the novel evolved and I found there was so much more I wanted to explore with Halen and Dax's characters. In book two, I'm taking my main character Halen on one heck of a ride, so she better hang on!

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Tiffany Daune There are too many bests to list, but recently I had a reader with cerebral palsy let me know they really related to Coral & Bone. He usually is unable to read text and just listens to most of his books, but with Coral & Bone he was able to keep his focus. I would have to put this at the top of 'the best list' forevermore.

How do you get inspired to write?

Tiffany Daune I don't go looking for inspiration, it comes to me. I stay really open to my surroundings and just listen. There are stories all around us. The problem is choosing which one to write.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Tiffany Daune I love mermaids and magick, so I thought why not bring them together. Of course I couldn't leave out shape shifters and sirens. I also love fantasy realms and worlds. Heck my husband says I live in one, so why not write about one. Coral & Bone is set in the Earth realm and the underwater realm of Elosia.This novel is a meld of all my years of watching Disney movies and thrillers.
