Mostly I'm reading non-fiction--research for a new series I'm in the midst of developing. I also belong to a book club through my local independent bookseller and we are reading some very interesting titles.

Okay, not wanting to jinx myself but the truth is I can't honestly say I have ever been blocked. I guess when I hit a bump in the road that's when I do something else--take a walk, read, listen to music, clean the apartment. Somehow something always crops up that gets me back on track.

Currently I have completely switched gears and am working on a Western series set in AZ in the later 1800's. It's a family saga aout changing times in the West. I also have a novella coming out in spring that is about travelers heading West on the Oregon Trail (title "His Frontier Family).

Everything inspires me--song lyrics, stuff I see on my walks, snippets of conversations overheard, news items. My novel A SISTER'S FORGIVENESS came from a small newspaper article about two teens heading out for their first day of their senior year--one teen was picking up her friend, lost control of the car and the friend was killed. My heart broke for the two families who I assumed were friends. Then I began to think, "what if the mothers were sisters and the girls were not only best friends but cousins?' A lot of my ideas coming from asking "What if...?"

SAFE HAVEN is the third and final story in The Peacemakers series. I stumbled across this little known WWII event accidentally and the more I learned about this group of European refugees brought to America in 1944 by FDR, the more I knew this was a story that needed to be told!
