Please write Otter goes to the Library?
Sam Garton I'm actually working on an early reader Otter book - 'I Love Books!' - where Otter goes to the library. I'm afraid it's not one of the full picture books for older kids though. We'll have to convince my publishers somehow :)

Je rêve d'avoir un dessin d'Otter et ses amis....y'a-t-il une chance de pouvoir s'offrir un jour une reproduction ?? (je connais votre page Deviant mais je n'y vois pas de dessins comme ceux des livres). Et un mug Otter me plairait particulièrement quand je me fais des toasts ^^...et un tee-shirt...bref, je veux Otter partout avec moi :p
Sam Garton Awwww, thanks for the kind words! I am in fact working on a little 'Otter Shop' which should be open some time in the new year. We will certainly have mugs, prints, and hopefully T-shirts! I know how you feel, I very much want do drink my coffee from an Otter mug ;)

Sam Garton Well, yes. 100% yes... Have you seen their fluffy little ears? I LOVE otters!!!

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
Sam Garton I don't think I have any spectacularly interesting writing quirks. But when I get stuck on something, I do have a tendency to scroll up and down the document -- as if this will somehow reveal the way forward!

How long did it take to write and illustrate "I Am Otter"? And how long does it usually take to write and illustrate a blog post on Otter's blog? ^__^
Sam Garton A blog post will usually take me about a week, mainly to colour the art. I was working on 'I Am Otter' for about 7 months! The next book has taken less time (thankfully!). The process is very time consuming, but I listen to audio books to keep me company. I also talk to my desk plan sometimes...

What was your inspiration for the character Otter and his friends?
Sam Garton Wow, a question, thanks!
I used to tell my girlfriend (now wife), silly stories about an Otter, whilst walking home from work every day. It kind of stuck -- that was about 7 years ago now! Otter started off in my head as a much more bizarre character, her and Otter Keeper used to break into offices at night in order to steal USB memory pens.... they don't do that any more :)
