That's such a hard choice, because there are so many amazing couples. But the first that popped into my head was Michael and Griffin from Tiffany Reisz's Original Sinners series. I absolutely adore them--Michael is this shy, uncertain, sweet boy who comes alive under Griffin (both literally and figuratively). And Griffin, the playboy, the former addict, the guy who seems nigh untameable falls in love with the shy, sweet, uncertain boy. They bring out the best of each other, and theirs is the love that I always look to, even more than Soren and Nora or Soren and Kingsley or Kingsley and Juliet because neither of them believed they were worthy of this whole love thing, and yet here they are.

The one I've just finished edits on is for a new line from Decadent Publishing called Beyond Fairytales. I was assigned a Brothers Grimm fairy tale called the Water Nix, which is a 3 paragraph story. Three. Paragraphs. I started thinking it over. I wanted to write a science fiction story because I missed working in that genre a lot, and the story slowly started unfolding. And as it got bigger and bigger, I realized I'd become Peter Jackson and made 4 books out of 3 paragraphs of fairy tale.

I pretty much sit down and make myself do it. If I waited for my muse to get off her lazy behind and inspire me, I'd probably never write.
There are a billion pieces of advice for writers, but I tend to subscribe to the one that creativity is like a faucet. You have to turn the water on yourself; it doesn't just come on sporadically. For me, it's the same with inspiration. I can't wait for it. I have to make it happen.

Working on the sequel to Ember's Secret! This is Amy's story, and so far, it's shaping up to be drastically different from Ember's. But I think readers are really gonna love Amy. A lot. She's feisty.

Don't do it for the money. I'm not kidding. You won't make a lot. Do it because you love it, because you need to, because *not* doing it is impossible to think about.

Everything! Well, okay, not /everything./ Editing is kind of a pain. But it's awesome to get to create these stories and worlds and have that sort of creative freedom.

I play video games, read, anything that's going to get the gears moving again. Sometimes I'll start on a completely different project. It just depends.
