That's a hard one to answer. I like too many books to be able to pick just one. I literally would not be able to pick, because something new always changes my mind. There are just too many amazing books out there.

The darkness was deafening, disturbed only by the loud drumming of her own heart, which reverberated in her ears like some rhythmic countdown to her end. She flinched, her hands covering her mouth to hold back the scream that threatened to expose her, as the knowing sound of footsteps shattered her momentary reprieve.

I've recently got into RPG books, so beginning after the end, world tree online and I've got a slew of others. The list just keeps growing!

How to get a decent night sleep? Maybe something or someone is deliberately keeping me awake for strange bizarre reasons ... maybe for a strange revenge for an incident as a child or some slight at an old job! Anything and be inspiration!

I don't ... I try but usually I just wait for my brain to be interested in writing again. Sometimes you can over due it, making your mind/brain/muse get so sick of writing, that it's impossible to write a single word. I just relax, read, draw ... whatever it is I can to relax my mind and not think about writing, and eventually I can.
Doesn't always work but if my muse decides to take to long ... I occasionally force the issue by thinking up character biography's, background, plots, etc, and hope it gets my writing juices going - that works occasionally.

Always write what you love. If you have no interest in a genre or something you are currently writing, it will show and people won't want to read it. Always plot your story well, as well as when creating characters. Research is always key and making sure that you always, ALWAYS, have a note book and pen with you at all times. Inspiration can happen at any time, and you don't want to be missing out when it hits you!
I would also suggest asking questions to other authors who write similar work/genre's to yourself. If necessary, ask them how they plan their stories out, or what they think is key when writing a book/story/novel/series. Ask them, if when you have completed your first draft, would they mind reading it and giving feedback to help you. You might get turned down many times, but there may be that one author that says yes!
My last word of advice ... never give up. If writing is what you love, then don't stop, no matter what might cross your path to stop you. If you love to write, then obviously you were born to write!

This book series, like a couple of my other ones, I actually came up with in a dream. As a result of this I always keep a pen and pad next to my bed, so when I wake up I can instantly write it down before I forget. I think dreams can be an amazing inspiration to us fiction writers.

Sometimes it's a dream - yes, really ... a dream. Sometimes it's a person or it's is simply because of something I've read. Those are the main ones.

I've got 3 books in the pipework but mainly working on my Twilight Chronicles Series - Book one is nearly finished which is called Twilight House. The cover reveal will be the same day that I publish my newly designed website! ^^

Letting my imagination run wide, and then writing it all down!
