How do you get inspired to write?

Michael Jay I am inspired to share a simple message - that anyone can dream, regardless of where your journey begins - especially with young adults who know what it means to be bewildered.

What are you currently working on?

Michael Jay I am currently working on a children's picture book version of Dog Water Free (on Nantucket) and a slew of interviews, along with blog posting on open.salon (http://open.salon.com/blog/michael_jay)

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Michael Jay If you are thinking about writing a true story, remember that memoir is no place to settle personal scores with mere mortals. Settling your differences with the Almighty, however, is noble work and worthy of effort, in my humble opinion.
