I listen to people, we learn so much just by staying quiet and allowing others to talk. For instance, I will be listening to a story, and during that time, I am making mental notes for a future story line. It's amazing what we learn if we stop and pay attention to the happenings around us.

Remain humble, as your readers should be your biggest fans, not the other way around. They show faith in you and support your craft. Once you become closer to being published, remember always, there is more to learn, and if an editor directs you. They are not trying to put you down, but offer you the tools to become successful.

What is there not to love? As a writer, I create a piece of work that others enjoy. As a writer, I live within each emotion that my characters experience. As a writer, my life has been enriched and broadened in ways that words could not express.

Depending on the severity of the block, depends on my actions. If I cannot seem to write anything, I will read a book or two by other authors. It seems to help relax my mind. At that point, I will just write anything that comes to my mind, and keep writing. That helps, but, what I found to work the best is to sit in a public area, and watch people, ease drop, and a new story line comes to my mind.
