I can't remember if it's Natalie Goldberg or Anne Lamott that says writing block isn't really a block, it's about being empty. I heed that advice and try to fill up by doing the things that inspire me like, spending quality time with my husband, reading , being near the ocean, or watching hummingbirds outside my office window.
