Where all good poo story ideas come from - the dark recesses of my infantile mind...
It was part of the Captain Plop series so the characters were already formed. The subject was wastewater treatment and reuse because my employer wanted a story to explain the process to children.
The idea of a bike race 'tour de recycle' came from recycle being both synonymous with reuse and containing the word cycle.

As of June 2018, I am working on the sequel to Peace of the Puzzle. The working title is Missing Peace and it follows Elena's search through India and beyond for answers to the puzzle that is her life.
