I believe multilingualism can be an incredible blessing beyond measure, and for me, that is its true essence. Understanding the universe begins with understanding people, and understanding people begins with understanding language.
In everyday life, speaking multiple languages allows a person to connect directly with people from different cultures and environments. Those experiences naturally shape one's personality, perspective, and way of seeing the world.
As a writer, multilingualism is perhaps my greatest treasure. It opens doors that would otherwise remain closed, allowing me to observe life more closely and feed the endless curiosity that every writer carries within. And honestly, a writer’s curiosity is rarely easy to satisfy.
At the same time, multilingualism can also become a challenge if it is not guided in the right direction. Sometimes a person may slowly drift away from their original environment and identity without even realizing it.
So I think it is both a gift and a responsibility — and the way we use it is what ultimately makes the difference.
