Try to forget about writing and just wait. When the time is right you'll get past it. Reading books not related to your genre helps too, that way you are not influenced by other writers.

Write about what you want, not what you think you should write about. And don't force the story. I find that when I force the issue the writing suffers. The best stuff I've written just comes out of the blue.

I tend to get ideas when I'm not doing anything! The most recent book idea, which is still being written, came to me when I was in a manufacturing factory staring at the machinery.
