Brantwijn Serrah The third book in the Books of Blood and Fire is underway right now, and is called Winter Hearts. In it, Rhiannon travels to Russia during the Revolution, searching for the dark talisman, the Heart of Rasputin. I have plans for 5 total books in Rhiannon's story and, as Councilwoman Sable forsees in Satin and Steel, Rhiannon's journey will eventually lead back to the Blood Lotus temple. What happens then, of course, is still my little secret.

P.S. I apologize profusely for the delay in this reply. Goodreads never added it to my alerts!
Brantwijn Serrah Don't underestimate the power of good discipline and craft. You can be insanely talented but a really, really serious and really, really GOOD writer, keeps learning how to hone that talent. Sign up for a creative writing course, make it a goal to perfect your self-edits (don't just let it fall on a potential editor), and read/listen to the works of others.
Brantwijn Serrah Oh, definitely. I've learned a lot about myself by looking at my characters and how they behave or where they choose to go. They tend to tell me things I have a hard time recognizing in myself!
Brantwijn Serrah I always wanted to write, because I want to tell stories. I love to share stories with others, love to see and hear how they are affected by them. I'm not saying I wouldn't LOVE a spot on a big Bestsellers list, but if I never end up there, I still feel I've made it, because I'm sharing the stories just like I wanted to, and people are enjoying them.
