Middle Falls. In the time travel series by Shaun Inmon, people who die go back to their youth to live their life again, hopefully correcting mistakes from their previous life. There are a few things I'd like to try again!

The Testaments by Margaret Atwood. I think it was on most people's! Fantastic book, beautifully written. Answered many questions I had after The Handmaid's Tale.

Martin, thank you so much. I'm catching up on about 6 months of emails and messages, sorry I didn't come across yours long ago! I'll put your edits into the book(s) and look up optimal line length. :)

I've just published the book of a method of fast note-taking I invented, called 'Electronic Shorthand'. I got the idea from my years of teaching. Students need to be able to take fast, accurate notes and most of them always have a smartphone or tablet even if they can never find a pen!

I think it would have been 2015 Martin, as I was traveling for most of 2015 and this year. Great that you're doing a media kit, I'm passionate about them!

Hi Terri. Sorry for my delay responding. Thanks so much for the shout-out! I have a blog at http://forauthors.info/ but I'm not online very much at the moment. I've been traveling for 18 months, currently in Mexico on very sporadic wifi. It's fun but I'll be glad to be back to more of a work routine in the near future!

The same as every other author's: read a lot, write a lot. Read good stuff, bad stuff, all kinds of stuff. You'll learn something - either to do or not to do! - from everything. Write bad stuff, just write, and don't give up.

I do other things. If I sit down and try to write I go blank. When I'm showering, swimming, walking is when ideas come.

Being able to work with my dog at my side!

I'm not working but I am experiencing, which I will be turning into a book when I get back home to Europe. I'm traveling, which is a world of fun and adventure! I just hope I can do it justice when I settle down to put printhead to paper. :)

I hadn't struggled with it very much until quite recently. I'm on a roadtrip around the US & Canada, on a tourist visa so not allowed to work. I got out of the habit of daily writing and creating. I've been too busy traveling! But I decided to start a journal and found that my mind kept drifting off, I was unable to focus to write.
I turned to an experienced author friend, Nancy Hendrickson, for advice. She advised me to try different mediums - poetry, say, which was completely new to me - and to try using photographs as inspiration.
My poetry turned into song lyrics and I've spent the last few weeks studying how to do songwriting, which is fun.
So I would say that was excellent advice, to try something completely different.
I did notice, as well, that my attention and focus is better when I am eating really well. For me, that means avoiding anything in a packet, really. I am very intolerant to MSG and it's hidden in alsorts of things. As long as I stick to fruits, vegetables, nuts/seeds, and wholegrains/pulses, I'm OK. But if I eat packet foods, oh my goodness, I get depressed, lethargic, and moody - with zero concentration.
I do know other authors who clean up their diets and lifestyles if writer's block hits so I'm not the only one!
