M.J. Penny Hello Dave. Personally, I feel beginning with some good action works best for me. Another is starting near the end of the story with a cliffhanger, then working back to reveal the lead up to that point and guiding it from there. You can get in a lot of twists and turns that way.
M.J. Penny If I waited for inspiration to strike, I'd have died of hunger by now and not have written a damn thing. I only have one rule: I show up for work each day whether I feel like or not.
M.J. Penny I have a few things ready to fly. One is a book on creative thinking for artists and creatives in all industries. The other is something I've been commissioned to ghostwrite. I also have the final edits of my novel, 'The Alchemist's Prayer' to do, and hopefully will have it done by this Summer.

We all write crap to begin with. Sometimes I can look at what I'm writing and still see it as crap, but sooner or later it all clicks and you get better. This reflects in the work you do.
M.J. Penny Being able to surprise myself and others. It's like breaking new boundaries for each project. Trying to outdo yourself each time and not quitting until you do.
M.J. Penny Years of writing copy and press releases for industry and news companies, I don't get writer's block. Habit is a great for setting the ground rules.
