Read everything you can get your hands on. Don't stop with one book on plotting or editing, read all the books on plotting and editing. Find your own process by trying out others. Develop a method to know when a book is as good as it can be and then move on to the next project.

I tend to work on several things at once. A CRUSHING WEIGHT is about to be in the second round of edits. I do five rounds before I'm done. THE SWEET WATER AFFLICTION will start the first round of edits in the next two weeks. And my most recent work in progress is yet to be titled, but I'm about two chapters into the writing. They all fall into the speculative fiction/horror categories.
