Susan Clayton-Goldner Yes, Cynthia. I am working on it now. Bloody Creek Murder. I'm nearly finished the first draft. Hoping it will be ready for the fall some time. The next book is a standalone. Missing Pieces. Thanks for asking. And thanks again for being such a fantastic reviewer for me. XXOO
Susan Clayton-Goldner I'd travel into To Kill A Mockingbird and work as hard as I could to help Atticus Finch get justice for his client.
Susan Clayton-Goldner I don't have a summer reading list planned. I'm writing the third of the Radhauser mystery series and I need to have it to my publisher in October. I suspect my summer will be filled with writing and not much reading. I did just finish a legal series by Scott Pratt that I'd highly recommend. Justice Redeemed was my favorite.
Susan Clayton-Goldner That's a very interesting question. The first answer that came to mind for me was the reason for my brother's suicide. He killed himself at age 39. No one saw it coming. It's a "cold case" now, but occasionally still haunts me.
Susan Clayton-Goldner I have to say Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler because of all the drama and conflict surrounding their "love". They are both "larger than life" characters.
Susan Clayton-Goldner I'm usually inspired by life. By something that happens to me. By something I hear on the news or read in the paper. Sometimes I'm just curious to know what it would be like to be, say, a pathologist or a social worker. I find out by writing a novel.
Susan Clayton-Goldner I'm currently working on a novel called "Unforgettable". It is about a priest who falls in love with his married parishioner. He loves her more than anything, even God.
Susan Clayton-Goldner Be tenacious. It takes quite a while to learn the craft of fiction writing. Study. Attend workshops. Write. Rewrite. Get input on your work. And don't start sending it out too soon. Be sure you've got the best book you can write before you start marketing to agents and publishers.
Susan Clayton-Goldner Never feeling lonely. I'm always surrounded by a case of whacky and interesting characters (at least to me. :)
Susan Clayton-Goldner I don't generally have writer's block. And the best way to deal with it is to sit down in front of your computer and start to write. Sometimes it helps me to go back and read the previous scene before I start working on a new one. It puts me back into the fictive dream.
