N. Lombardi Jr. Hi Michelle

To give you an idea of the story see the "strapline" and draft back cover copy below:

Strapline:
Light and shadow, good and evil, illusion and reality, where are the lines drawn? For psychiatrist Tessa Thorpe, finding out is imperative for her survival.

Back cover copy:
An enigmatic, mentally ill patient in a cryptic institute forces psychiatrist Tessa Thorpe to navigate the nebulous territory between truth and fiction, madness and deception, paranoia and conspiracy, exposing her to things she doesn't want to know, and immersing her so deep in a game of politics and terror that her very life hinges on finding her way out.

The manuscript (PDF file) is very near to final editing. I have 2 (quite different) novels with a UK publisher, but I am looking for a new publisher (through agents) so it will be quite a while. I may end up self-publishing if there no takers. All this means it could be 6 months to a year before publication date, but I will notify you as it draws near.

N. Lombardi Jr. A central figure in the novel I just finished (not yet released) is a true personage, who was a double agent or informant working with both US intelligence and terrorist groups. It exposes the hypocrisy of the war on terror in a very subtle way. So the idea came from news stories and books concerning terrorist activities.
N. Lombardi Jr. Writing about documented injustices that few people know about, moves me to write novels that will bring these stories to light.
N. Lombardi Jr. I have just finished a manuscript that is a psychological political thriller with a female psychiatrist as the protagonist. Like most of my work, it is a fictional story woven around historical facts.
N. Lombardi Jr. If you want to be successful, then I have limited advice, as I have yet to become successful. What I do, is write about something I feel passionately about (I'm sure you've heard that before!)
N. Lombardi Jr. For me, writing fiction is just plain fun. Although, the bad side of it is that once I become absorbed, it distracts me from the real everyday world around you, so there is a risk that I might ignore my other responsibilities and obligations.
N. Lombardi Jr. Relax, have a few beers, and daydream about my story, or rather plunge into that fictional world I'm creating. Because I love films, it is easy to replay it in my head. That's why most of what I write has a strong cinematic quality.
