For us it is remembering all the great girls trips we have been on and sharing the funny things that we did. We always get the giggles when we get together and that gets our writer minds going.

The best thing we did was attend South Carolina Writers Workshop. I would advice all aspiring writers to go to a writers workshop or join a group of local writers.

Whenever my sister and I are together, we start talking about funny things that happened to us on girls trips. We get the giggles and decide to put it in the book.

My sister and I were on vacation with our husbands. We were staying at a community near Key West, FL. We were in the pool doing our own aqua aerobics and I said, "This would make a great setting for a sitcom". We started describing the people who would live there and funny things they would do. Then we decided it should be a book. We started writing up story lines, putting them together, and six months later had the book.
