GiGi Duvall Tyler Devlin is on my radar. Here's a guy who's dealt with some big issues, some immaturity, and some sadness. He's even done some damage (unintentional) to his brother's love life. So, yes, Tyler has a story to tell. Eventually, he'll start feeding into the series more and more and then we'll see what happens.
GiGi Duvall Moss Bayou exists in my mind's eye! If I had to give it a geographic reality, it would exist in the large country yard I spent my childhood exploring! Is there a "real" Moss Bayou? Yes, but it's a model town, my husband and I built years ago. I look at the model regularly for inspiration and plotting.
GiGi Duvall Walk away! When I get stuck, I have to walk away and work on something else for a little while.
GiGi Duvall My imagination comes to life! I fall in love with my characters in much the same way mothers fall in love with their children.
GiGi Duvall Write, write, write. Read, read, read. And no matter how good you think it is, you will always do better than before. Writing a good story is a learning process. Each book is just one more lesson in that process. And have a tough skin!
GiGi Duvall I'm currently working on Lily's Surrender.
GiGi Duvall I am inspired to write by thoughts and ideas that form from just about every aspect of the world around me. I will even jot notes on the back of receipts when I'm out and about.
GiGi Duvall The idea for Rachel's Rebellion came from the thought that girls love the bad boy. The idea of the good girl going a little wild and stepping out of the box intrigued me. Imagine being the good girl and you're very attracted to a guy that is known for criminal activity. Put that with a close knit group of family and friends and you've got the dynamics for some interesting happenings.
