Hi Bella. I'm struggling for words to convey how heartwarming your review and this question are. Montecito is my first published novel, but I have been knocking on the closed door of this dream for eleven years. I got close a few times only to have those hopes crushed. I nearly gave up. This kind of review and feedback are things I only dreamed I might one day receive -- to have them in hand sends a thrill down my spine. All of that is the long way of saying thank you. In too many and not enough words, thank you.
My next novel is called Carp, short for Carpinteria, the town next to Montecito. It is not a sequel. Carpinteria is not as famous as Montecito, but it is yet another enclave of the very rich and famous, particularly along beachfront Padaro Lane. But also, Carp is a farming community, once famous for its cut flowers. However, it is now semi-famous for being home to the largest concentration of Marijuana grow licenses in California. So Carp the novel is the story of a man who decides this is his golden opportuniy and leaps into the Marijuana world. It is darker than Montecito ... a tad more thrilling perhaps?
