Lina Jay I got the idea for Paris and London from friends and family; their life experiences plus a few of mine.
Lina Jay People inspired me. I can watch people all day and get inspired. My mind works like a movie. I can sit in a food court in a mall and wonder where everyone came from, where are they going next, why are they there, etc. I'll add my own creative spin to it and end up with a great book that people can relate to.
Lina Jay I am currently working on my short autobiography.
Lina Jay My advice to aspiring writers is to never give up! No matter how many negative comments and feedback you get, never give up. Stay true to yourself and your writing. Don't change your style of writing just because someone else doesn't like it. And if you are in this for the money then look for another occupation. If you're not writing for the love of writing then don't write at all!
Lina Jay The best thing about being a writer is creating a whole new world! The characters, the storyline, etc...And when I see readers respond to the world I created it makes my day. When someone tells you that they either hate or love certain characters in your book it's a wonderful feeling because they have truly enjoyed your book.
Lina Jay When I get writer's block I take a break from writing for a while. It could be a few days or a few weeks. I spend a lot of time with friends and family. I also spend alone time in a public place like a park or a mall. When I go back to writing my writer's block is gone.
