Being a writer means I can shape the way I reveal my opinion of the world. I can tell a story my way and set it afloat in the world without worrying about how it's received...until afterward, of course. I think everyone should write, even if it's simply keeping a journal for their thoughts and ideas.

Writer's block usually comes from my laziness, so I work out for extra energy and turn off all my devices so I'm not distracted. When the block comes from a conceptual problem or a plot discrepancy, I have to meditate for a while, which usually involves taking the dog on a long walk.

Inspiration comes from watching real life and asking two questions: 'what if' and 'what would I have gone differently?' I think curiosity and having strong opinions drive me to write.
