I never know when inspiration will strike and sometimes that can create a challenge. I could be driving or cycling when all of a sudden an idea will surface. In those instances I repeat the idea in my mind until I'm able to get to a place where I can write down those scattered thoughts. Other times inspiration comes when listening to music, watching television, reading other poets or blog posts, or simply scrolling through my twitter feed. And those times when I don't have access to my laptop, I'll record my ideas onto my iPhone's voice recorder app.
