Meliha Avdic I don't get writer's block. I am not one of those who say that is doesn't exist. I have seen too many talented, smart people seriously suffering. But I have (thank God) never had writer's block. In fact, my muses drive me nuts very often with 'writer's flood' - this is what we decided to call it in one of the writing groups on facebook. If anyone has a better idea, please share.
Meliha Avdic Oh, the endless possibilities.

I love the whole thing. Fixing a bad sentence, to spitting out a sentence that is far beyond anything I thought I could create. Getting the feedback and arguing my point of view. Finding people who agree with me. Holding the book I have written. Seeing the effect that a book has on people - I like the motion pictures, the theatre, the TV, but books will always have a much deeper and profound effect on people. we have to work on society developing appreciation for books.
Meliha Avdic If you are not passionate about writing and books in general, do not go into this field. It is tough.

But if you are passionate, then power to you. Keep going! You (and I) will make it.
Meliha Avdic I have a number of projects going on at once.

'Beliefs of the Faithless' has just been entered into the Curtis Brown competition. Fingers crossed.

The second part of Alma's story. I only have a working title for this one: With the Help from Heaven.

'The Bad Wife' - I am hoping to finish this one in time for the Kindle competition.
Meliha Avdic Everything inspires me. I love emotions. I let myself feel.

Just recently a writer asked how they can get over their writer's block and I said that they should let themselves feel. Everything inspires me. My empty glass bottle of water that looks like a vase with a lid. The bottle is having identity crisis issues. I just had a laugh with the bottle. Perhaps I am a bit insane, but I don't see a problem with this kind of 'insanity' - if it is that.
Meliha Avdic I worked with survivors of massacres and genocide. It is vital we understand them if we are to build world peace. Alma is a fictional character that I made up of a number of real people.
