Inspiration for me comes from everywhere. I could be shopping and suddenly a product or person will create a character in my mind. I've been outside raking or shoveling and the scene around me is simply begging to be written for a new character that has shown up in my mind.
Once inspiration hits, I'm nonstop and manic until the story is finished.

My most recent book, Hunting the Headless Horseman, was inspired by my insane fascination with all things paranormal. I believe that so many of the villains we've had ingrained into our brains are redeemable. Ichabod Crane was one I'd been eager to bring to the other side and Rosie Peaks helped me do that.

Self-explanatory question. Everything about being a writer is amazing. The highs, the lows, the stories, the inspirations, the pitfalls, the readers, the reviews...I'm grateful for all of it and I count my blessings each moment of every day.

Honestly, I just let the wave roll in. I can't force the work. I wait for the niggling doubts and blockage to roll back out and then, I hit it hard.

I'm currently working on a new series and finishing various manuscripts that have been on hold for over a year.
