The best tips I've received is to promote, promote, promote. You say you haven't done a lot of that. I understand writing vs promoting. But now is the time to start. Joining Goodreads is a good start. You can promote on the Groups you join and interact with authors and readers. Every once-in-a-while do a Kindle giveaway. Also, book tours are gold mines; the best way to gain followers. So sorry to say I don't do MailerLite and StoryOrigin. But I hope this helps. Keep writing...and promoting:) Thank-you.

I've heard of her, but have never read any of her books:)

Hi, Claudia
Once again, thank-you for taking the time to read Under The Harvest Moon and for the wonderful review.
I really wish I knew how to answer your question, though. I'm not tech-savvy at all. I don't use Chat, so I wouldn't know what type to recommend. I'm so sorry. But thank-you for reaching out to me.
Sincerely--Groovy

Claudia, I'm so sorry you had so much trouble getting it. Like I stated in my previous answer, I hope you like it, even a little bit. I wrote it in my early years--LOL! And as far as the weather? Hot and muggy, and I love it!!!

Hi, Claudia. I hope the advice helped in some way. I guess the best way to see how my newest book is doing is by looking it up on Amazon and reading the reviews. But it's so new it doesn't have any reviews so it's going to take a while. Hopefully, I'll get some soon. And thanks for your kind words. I hope it skyrockets, too. LOL! And all the best on writing your first book.

One late night while I was gazing in the refrigerator for something to drink, an eerie voice called out to me. It was a half-eaten cake, and it whispered, "Groovy, eat the other half of me."

I would have to say most of the worlds in a Dr. Seuss book. There I would get to meet all those lovable, strange characters like Sam-I-Am, and Horton, and live with them for a while:)
But of course, if I want to experience the adult life, I'd have to say I would love to go to the fictional lands I created in all of my books, where there's adventure, suspense, and I get to interact with the good-looking men that live there.

Well, hello, Eve. We finally get to meet:) I love that you write thrilling romances and romantic thrillers. It takes a special author to thrill readers while keeping it clean. You know what that means--I gots to add them to my reading list.
And I love posh London, I could probably listen to you talk all day--LOL!
Thanks for your question, Eve. And if you'll going to Wimbledon, wave at the cameras so I'll know it's you. Or you can just 'friend' me:)

I just finished reading, Ordeal by Innocence, by Agatha Christie. I would have loved this book if it were on PBS. Now, I'm presently reading The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches--I don't think I'm going to be able to finish it--sorry.
I plan to read at least a few more books since I have to get back to writing my next novel, and let's not forget about tennis season!! Any book that has clean suspense and romance, and catches my attention with a well-written blurb, I will add to the rest of my summer reading. I'm still searching:)
Thank-you! And Happy Reading!

I remember being a very young child hiding under a bed, and as I looked out from under it I saw a woman lying on the floor and a pool of blood streaming from her head and a pair of legs standing over her. That's all I remember. That would be a plot for a mystery.
Also, as a young girl, the lady that used to style our hair also ran a funeral parlor. We would have to past the caskets with the bodies in them to get to the back of the house. That would also make a good plot for a mystery if a few of them were murdered.

Hi, Monika, how are you?
I'm so glad you asked. I'm working on my second suspense novel set in France (that could change) featuring my signature strong, female protagonist. I'm only up to five pages, so there's no title as of yet; but hopefully it will be released Jan. 2017.
I'm also working on a suspense/sci-fi set partly in Egypt with an evil mummy as part of the storyline. But that's going to take a while:)
Thank you so much for your question, Monika. I love it when readers get in touch with me. Don't be a stranger. All the best to you--

Hi, May Panayi
Thank you for inviting me to do a swap review with you. I'm so sorry to say that I'm under two deadlines, one for a romantic/suspense coming out in a few weeks, and another romance for next year.
There are so many reasons I don't do swap reviews, but this is the main one. I hope you understand.
I love your cover, and it seems your book is about a haunted house? (I hope I read the blurb correctly) Which is the other reason why I can't: This is one genre I do not read because frankly, I'm afraid of those types of storylines; yes, I'm a chicken:)
All the best on your book. It already has a five star rating, so you're already off to a good start.
Thank you--Groovy

Hi, Linda Jackson
I'm so glad to meet you albeit the internet. Let me just first say that my next release on Jan. 19, takes place in Montreal, and one of the characters thinks it would be fun to blend in with the locals' accent by adding "eh" to the end of each sentence, but she is quickly discouraged from doing so. I love your accents, too. I think they make us unique.
To answer your very good question, I'm afraid I'm a little jaded in that area. I'm so glad that there are those, readers and authors alike, that still read and write stories with good, wholesome content. I think it takes a special kind of writer to be able to do that. To me, stories of violence and lust are easy to put on paper. But to write 'wholesome and good' and still make your story an exciting read takes a special kind of writer.
The public's interest for these types of stories are so widespread. Take Fifty Shades of Gray--When was the last time you saw a wholesome romantic novel get such attention and then turned into a big movie? Those stories are growing in popularity and selling very well; Whereas, good and wholesome lags behind.
You're a writer. I'd like to ask you the same question. Maybe, you can give me a different, less jaded point of view. I would love to hear your answer.
Thank you, Linda Jackson, for your question. I am really honored you took the time to contact me.

I certainly hope wholesome, inspirational and uplifting novels/movies/songs are growing in popularity. I'd not given a thought to it taking a special kind of writer to make goodness into something exciting. But after some thought, I agree. I can quickly write about action scenes or drama if word count in an x amount of time was the goal, but when I write my realistic novels, I have to dig, sometimes very deep, for those words that could bring tears or laughter.
But when I write about overcoming, finding answers, or discovering bliss or awe, I enter into another realm of being. It's exciting, and fantastic and powerful and indescribable! It's like touching heaven even as life still dishes out pains.
All this goodness is so empowering, so filled with deeper insights and warmth and so YES that I want everyone to feel the same way.
How could such values and awe not go forward? ...more

I agree wholeheartedly with you, Linda. Goodness is so empowering, and fills us with warmth and insights and we as authors can help readers to feel that, too. I feel that's one of my jobs as an author.
Violence and lust definitely does not accomplish that. I applaud your positive attitude that values such as goodness should grow and do very well. But, I'm still jaded--sorry.

I hope this question doesn't jinx me, but I never had to deal with writer's block. As I've stated before, I have a very vivid imagination.
Groovy Lee
The best thing about being a writer is that you get to create worlds and fantasies you would never experience in real life. You get to create a place where people can escape to and enjoy for two to three hundred pages. Most of all, you get to create that perfect man that exists only in your wildest imagination; A man beyond your wildest dreams.
Groovy Lee
Oh My God! I know you hear this a lot, but DO NOT give up. First of all, if you need to improve on your writing skills get your hands on "The first five pages" and "A touch of Dash" by Noah Lukeman. He improved my writing more than any writing class ever could. Second, don't listen to those rejection letters. If you believe in yourself, there's always an audience for you--ALWAYS! For years, I was told by just about every agent in these United States that my work wasn't good enough. But when I joined Kindle, people wrote me and said how much they enjoy reading my books. I couldn't believe it.
One lady's daughter was dying of cancer, but my latest book "Cause She's a Good Girl", helped her to escape and it made her so happy that she could escape into my book and find relief for a while. Another reader called me "amazing"--me! These are the reasons you don't give up. This is what gets you inspired. Believe in yourself and keep writing, and you'll be called "amazing", too.
