Trebor Fairwell Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher are the first to jump out at me. In all of literature, their characters and their relationship are true fiction. Most other couples fall into the category of unrealistic romantic fantasy. Tom is boy who has found himself in love while he would much rather be somewhere else. Becky is a headstrong female counterpart who hasn't lost her feminine charm in a bid for equality with Tom. Tom and Becky are real. All the rest are words on paper.
Trebor Fairwell Slurrpy stands at a less-than-average 5'7''. He is has a melancholic temperament. Consequently, he is a perfectionist who is afraid to make any choice until he is sure that it is the perfect choice. His physical features are generally wet. His skin is varying shades of blue. None of his features are fully defined. His fingers aren't as pointy as a humans, his ears aren't as thin, his shoulders droop, and his face is an oval more than a square. From a distance it would appear that he has curly hair. But his hair drips down his head like bubbles or beads of water as dark as a midnight ocean. His eyes are colored teal with flecks of magenta in his irises. His eye brows droop toward his eyes, giving his face an expression of severity which contrasts with the uncertain smile on his lips. His chin barely stands out from his neck, almost as if it were afraid of being seen.

Overall, Slurrpy does not appear physically intimidating, but his noble bearing and the vivid color of his eyes reveal the strength of is soul. He would hesitate to save himself, but he would sacrifice himself for another faster than thought.

As an Atlantean, Slurrpy possess certain remarkable physical attributes. His body, although it generally holds the same form, can temporarily shift matter around in his body like water in a water balloon. Hand-cuffs and bars would not hold him captive. The surest way to keep an Atlantean still is to keep him on ice. The surest way to kill one, is to make him boil. For Slurrpy's sake, I hope it never comes to that.
Trebor Fairwell I spend time in silence to think about my life. When I'm done, I'm often inspired to share some sort of deep experience with others.
Trebor Fairwell I'm currently working on a sequel to my first book. It's challenging because I've been away from the characters for so long. I'm currently getting to know them all over again and in deeper ways than I knew them in the first book.
Trebor Fairwell Write, Read, and Listen!

Write:every time I meet a young person, a friend, or a stranger who says they have a book they'd like to write, I encourage them to write. Practice makes perfect.

Read: read great authors, read current authors of your chosen genre, read the works of other aspiring writers and share ideas. Read your own writing slowly and thoughtfully.

Listen: listen to your critics. I often regret that I'm not closer to more critics. When I ask people to read my work, I also ask them to be as damningly critical as possible. Learn how to receive criticism impersonally. People criticizing your writing aren't insulting you. They are telling you where you can improve. Listen and improve.
Trebor Fairwell The only stories I write are those I enjoy daydreaming about. Perhaps the best part of being a writer is that I can share the adventure with my readers.
Trebor Fairwell I write something else. Samuel Clemens was a prodigious writer who possessed a prodigious imagination. Whenever he ran into a wall, he'd begin working on the idea which most lately possessed his imagination.
Trebor Fairwell My most recent book is God Does Laugh. It's a fictional autobiography in every sense of the term. It really is an autobiography, but it is an exaggerated autobiography. Temptations, thoughts, doubts, and scenarios became characters with intent and purpose. We all live a unique life which tells a unique story. I wanted mine to be funny and meaningful.
