S.M. Mala I saw this guy from a distance and thought I recognised him, an actor, then I saw a dishevelled vicar walk past me, all in a matter of thirty seconds. So both the sightings inspired the two new books. Something so simple is the catalyst for a story.
S.M. Mala Everything around me. Speaking to people, listening to music, talking to my friends. I find that it is sometimes just seeing someone, who I don't know, and the story appears in my head. Also, when I'm currently working on a book, half way through it I start thinking about the next one which is a pain as I'm itching to start it!
S.M. Mala I've just finished one book and am currently writing a new one. More love stories with a twist and a lump of angst thrown it... along with the humour.
S.M. Mala I still feel like an aspiring writer so I can only speak for me. Please just write it down. We all have a story, be it fiction or fact. Cookery books, self-help or murder mysteries; if it's what you want to write about, then do it. The only thing stopping you is yourself. Go on, how will you ever know if you don't try?
S.M. Mala Just getting the stories out of my head and the creativity. Creating a story that someone likes is the most fulfilling.
S.M. Mala As I'm not a full time writer, so I haven't had it so far. When I'm stuck, I just walk away for a day, week, month then go back to it. I spend most of my time thinking about the format/story when doing other things. Inspiration can sometimes be around you or in a sentence someone utters by accident.
