Not well! I didn't know what that meant until my seventh novel 'Easy Money'. It's still not finished and I have no idea when it will be.

For me, it's more about what other people think who have read my work. Did they enjoy it? I've been writing for years. 50 to be exact. I started out writing lyrics to songs. Songwriting requires you to tell a story that makes sense in a short period of time, two to four minutes. I've built acoustical guitars as a hobby. Each guitar takes me about six months to finish. And I feel great when I'm finished and can sit down and play it. A novel takes me a year to complete, but out of the three (songwriting, guitar making, and novel writing) finishing a novel is by far the most satisfying.

Write every day, seven days a week. I start at 3 a.m. and write until 7 a.m. 4 hours and that's all.

I'm working on book number eight. No title yet. It's about a Boeing 777 airplane that drops off the radar over the Pacific Ocean. Then, when It reappears, it's ten years later, but the passengers haven't aged. The story is about what caused the plane to disapear.
Book three, four, five and six are ready for editing and will probably be available over the next two years.
