This is half sarcastic, half serious. Take it for what it is and with a grain of salt. I cannot for the life of me figure out why readers choose books they know won't enjoy (and say as much) only to review them poorly. Personally, I hardly have time to read the books I *want* to read, much less those I know aren't my style. It's a mystery to me. How do they find the time? What am I missing? ;)

But to answer your question more specifically, I really wanted to create two characters who had the different motives but the same agenda and who were equally stubborn and relentless. For better or worse. :)
