G.S. Luckett The idea for my most recent book was from a show I had watched on the African-American U.S. Marshals in the Wild West after the Civil War. That was what started it and then a historical fiction was born.
G.S. Luckett I find inspiration in different places. Sometimes just an idea I hear or some concept peeks my interest and a story evolves. I have two sons and we discuss history and future science a lot. These conversations turn into "what if" all the time. They are idea banks.
G.S. Luckett I just finished and launched, To the Gallows, and now I am going back to Dark Fantasy with a new title, Mortem. It's a speculative future/zombie genre with an unlikely hero.
G.S. Luckett I like being able to create a world outside of our own and have characters that are larger than life.
G.S. Luckett I like to do a mini-mind mapping of the scene I am stuck on. Sometimes I find it good to take a break and do something to free up my mind. I think writer's block comes from forcing the mind to be creative on a timeline. Give it a chance, it will come.
