Gill McKinlay I'm not always very inspired. Few writers are. I treat it as a job and get on with it whenever I have the time. I cannot wait for inspiration or I would never get anything done.
Gill McKinlay More short stories. But I've had an idea for a novel stuck in my head for years and I really need to get on with it...
Gill McKinlay Write, write, read and write but most of all, research the markets for your story. This is really important. Gill McKinlay I think the best thing is that you can create great characters.
Gill McKinlay I worry about it for a few days and then I realise that the only way forward is to write my way out of it! This can be difficult but I usually find an old story, one that hasn't been sold, and start rewriting/editing. That usually does the trick.
