Scott James Magner Good question, Richard! I tried to layer in a mixture of both. The science of Homefront is in my opinion very achievable, and there is a clear timeline from the very near future of our planet to the 27th century where the main action takes place.

My hope is that at the end of the book, all the questions I raised through the narrative are answered, with enough wiggle room to make subsequent books in the series not only desirable, but necessary!
Scott James Magner I write. There are days when I don't feel like writing, sure. There are times when a story isn't working, or what I see in my head isn't what makes it to the page. but there are no obstacles between me and a finished page other than sloth.
Scott James Magner Sharing my creations with the world. When I build a fictional setting, I see it in my head as clearly as the world outside my window. I know it in and out, back to front, and knowing that at least one other person in the universe can see the things that I do makes it all worthwhile.
Scott James Magner Stop using the word aspiring. You either write, or you don't.
Scott James Magner I have several short pieces (25-35K words) that wake me up at night, and chase away other , more profitable work. I also have more novels in the Hunters Chronicle (the world setting of Seasons of Truth) that need further polish, and a science fiction novel that needs one or two major rewrites before I'm comfortable shopping it around.
Scott James Magner If I don't write, the stories will eventually take over my life. Writing gets the voices out of my head and into yours, where they belong.
Scott James Magner Seasons of Truth is an idea I've been kicking around since the late '80s. When I started writing again after an extended period away, it was the first, and only idea I wanted to work on. The idea of 13th century superheroes, of men and women who have no idea why they can do the things they do but at the same time have very different cultural referents for them was something I've always wanted to explore.
