Seamus Boshell Thanks for your unreliable question, Alex. In my own writing of The Great Wall of Ballygall, I prioritized playfulness and vigor in the narrative voice of Brendan 'Finn' McCormack above everything else. Above veracity, reliability, dependability... I tried to have the narrator tell the story in the midst of him trying to understand the story himself. The temporal distance is short, in that he writes the book barely a year after the Great events, and is still trying to shape the story to his own sensibility and motives. Of course, this answer may not be reliable...
