When I read this book. I felt as if I was in the world they were living in. This is one of the best books I ahve ever Read. You are so inspiring.! cant wait for another book! when do you think you will come out with a new book? and will skyscraping be a series? Best of Luck!

I am so sorry I never saw this comment/question. Thank you so much for your kind feedback, I am so glad Skyscraping moved you so much. There is no sequel to Skyscraping but I have two books coming out in about a year. One is called The Way the Light Bends and the other is called Every Shiny Thing. They are on Goodreads though the synopsis are old and will be changed soon....Thanks again and so sorry! Let me know if you have any more questions!!

I have read "Skyscraping" in class, and we are now analyzing the realtionship between Mira and the adults of the book. Because of this, we have looked through the book to find the names of the parents but we can't seem to find the mother's name. Do you think you could share it with us?
Cordelia Jensen Hi Kristin! You are right, Mom's name never appears in the book. In the first drafts, her name was Marion. Actually, that was back when Mira was Lia and April was Jewel! And the dad Dale was Kevin. The names used to be more based on my own family's names but then my editor suggested I change them all to make the editing process easier for me. Her name (in my head) is Pamela. What class are you taking that you are reading Skyscraping?

What made you choose AIDS as a main focal point of your first novel? Have you been impacted directly by these disease?
Cordelia Jensen Hi Megan! Yes, my father died of AIDS in 1994. Skyscraping used to be a memoir that I then chose to fictionalize for both creative and personal reasons. Thanks for asking!
