Hi Aidan.
I am so sorry I never saw this comment/question. Thank you so much for your kind feedback, I am so glad Skyscraping moved you so much. There is no sequel to Skyscraping but I have two books coming out in about a year. One is called The Way the Light Bends and the other is called Every Shiny Thing. They are on Goodreads though the synopsis are old and will be changed soon....Thanks again and so sorry! Let me know if you have any more questions!!

Hi Kristin! You are right, Mom's name never appears in the book. In the first drafts, her name was Marion. Actually, that was back when Mira was Lia and April was Jewel! And the dad Dale was Kevin. The names used to be more based on my own family's names but then my editor suggested I change them all to make the editing process easier for me. Her name (in my head) is Pamela. What class are you taking that you are reading Skyscraping?

Hi Megan! Yes, my father died of AIDS in 1994. Skyscraping used to be a memoir that I then chose to fictionalize for both creative and personal reasons. Thanks for asking!
