My thoughts were:
1) I want to make some REALLY powerful heroes who have no idea how to use their abilities.
2) I want them to form a team to help save the world!
3) I want them to be teenagers, as normal as possible!
And out popped Arion, Lucian and Jasmine. The entire book is meant to be an origin story to introduce readers into a super-powered world. And reading comics/watching movies/reading books is what inspired me to attempt to create my own universe!

Superheroes. Whether it be Comics, Movies, TV Shows, Books, anything that you can think of. I see a character that's really cool and sometimes I'll say: "They shouldn't have done that! They should have done this!" So I'll create a character and base it off of maybe a comic book character but as I expand their story, they end up becoming a unique character that has a completely different personality. You wouldn't even be able to find the characters that I based mine off of now because they are so different! Every superhero is different and I want my heroes to be different. I don't want to be known as the guy who "ripped off" this book or that movie or this comic! I want my stuff to be as original as possible but referencing Comics, Movies, TV Shows, and Books is what helps me write

Currently, I'm working on "Uncharted: The Second Book of the Guardians Saga." I'm also planning out the entire Guardians Universe that I'm hoping to do eventually. I have more character ideas than I can write down on paper! Some of the characters that you'll see if you follow the series might appear in the...79th book! But really, they were supposed to be a supporting character in the 1st book! I'm just working on fitting every character into their place in the Guardians Saga, while also writing a little bit of Uncharted on the side ;)

Read. A LOT! I've read more books than I can even count. I really love comic books and normal novels. If you could see the bookshelves that I have in my room. I read everything that I can. Books, Comic Books and every single movie that I watch, I put on the subtitles. It's good to see the different styles of writing and as a writer, your goal should be to take some tips and pointers from every writer that you can to form your own style of writing. It's good to obtain all literary skills possible too. If you're young and still in school, PAY. ATTENTION. In all of your classes but more specifically English class. That helps with grammar and spelling more than anyone would think.

The best thing about being a writer-especially one this young-is usually the shock of people discovering that I'm a writer. I remember when I first finished writing Gifted back in 9th grade and my teacher asked the class: "What did you guys do this weekend?" Obviously, I replied: "I finished my book." He then asked what the name of the book was, I told him that I didn't know because I hadn't chosen a title yet and he was very confused until I actually showed him! Most people think that I'm playing video games all weekend long or watching movies but my main goal on weekends is to write!

I've found that usually (in my opinion) writer's block is where one closes off their options to further their story or simply doesn't like what they wrote before. The first thing that I do when I encounter writer's block is re-read the last chapter or two. Sometimes I delete a few paragraphs, once I deleted 6 chapters! Then I rewrite it in a new way that makes it a lot easier and gives you a lot more to work with.
