Take the dog for a walk :) It might be my surroundings, an encounter or overhearing something, but I always have a new idea when I get back home.

Read lots. Put your draft aside for a week or two before going through it again. It's advice that gets said a lot, but it is the best advice. Also, if a chapter feels overwhelming while editing, and you're wondering just where to start, open up a new word file and break up the chapter scene by scene. It really helps me when I find it difficult to focus :)

For The Bride Who Rode in With the Storm, published by Satin Romance, my main inspiration was the location. When I moved from Norwich to the Norfolk coast, I had the beautiful dunes to wander and fill my thoughts.

A collection of short stories set around Gaston Leroux's The Phantom of the Opera, set before, during and after the events of the original story. The stories will also focus on different characters, mainly Meg, Raoul, Erik and Christine. Some of them will also be fantasy interpretations, such as a fairy tale and mermaid themed stories.

Being able to work at home wearing a ratty old jumper and slippers, with my dog Bramble curled up next to me :) Or just being able to take the dog for a walk through the woods while thinking about plot ideas.

Basically anything inspires me: clouds, birds, trees, I was once inspired while looking at a pack of bubblegum. I let my imagination come up with a idea and follow it to wherever it leads me to.
