Ryphna St-John It was everywhere, covering the walls, the furniture, all over my clothes and skin.... and we were all out of paper towels.
Ryphna St-John For me writer's block is often just freezing in front of ONE scene or ONE storyline somewhere. When that happen I will start by taking it easy and writing other side storylines about the same story. Maybe a short story about the character's past or something about the environment they are in so that I can explore it without the pressure of the current scene. It often show me what was stressing me about the scene or answer questions I didn't know I had about the characters. Sometime it even show me that the scene I was struggling with just didn't make sense because I wasn't listening to my characters and that I should "rewind" my story slightly and start again from an earlier point.
Whatever the solution for me writer's block is not a lack of ideas (I have way too many worlds to explore to ever not have any ideas to write about) but a discomfort with the current idea.
