I'm currently writing a book based in Ocracoke, NC. I've been here several times with my family on vacation and I just love the simplicity of the island. Cars are replaced with golf carts, century old trees hang over hidden paths and cozy little houses.
I always wondered what it would be like to grow up in a secluded place. You'd either love it or hate it, right? So I'm exploring that...writing about a doctor who left home, only to return years later.
