Don't give up. I got a lot of rejections on my first book, because it didn't fit the norm. But I knew the story was great. It had places in several contests, and I loved my character. So, I kept sending it out. The next piece of advice would be once you've finished a book, go on and write the next one.

I love the working from home aspect. Also, if I have a deadline, I can avoid the mundane household jobs for a bit longer.

I find a deadline always helps me avoid writer's block. But the best way to get the ideas flowing is to go on a trip with the hubby. We brainstorm to make the time on the road pass faster.
