I have other ideas I would like to turn into books, though most of the ideas come from personal experiences and beliefs. Of course, these are mixed with my inspirations, and I would like to write something in the style of Carmilla; perhaps as a bit of a homage.

You have the opportunity to take a creation of the mind and present it to others. What you think can become real, and words are an incredible accessible way of doing this.

Take yourself out of the situation in any way you can; ideas for a plot line or conversation will be found in the most unlikely of places. Go travel somewhere - it doesn't have to be another country, perhaps just to a park or another town.
Also don't forget there is nothing with taking a break. If you try to hard, you risk becoming tunnel-visioned, and that will never help.

Only write what you truly enjoy. If you are forcing yourself to do something, then ultimately you will not be able to invest your entire being into it. Only when we do this, does it become a part of us, and that is what will keep us going.

I listen to the music that was the fuel to my inspiration, bands like Cradle of Filth, Septic Flesh and Agalloch to name a few. I write mainly through feeling, so this helps generate the emotions I need to make words flow.
